NZBridge Website Update

The following message has been received from NZBridge (I've edited it slightly for clarity):

NZ Bridge will shortly launch a refreshed website designed to make it easier for you to find information – for a learner looking for lesson materials, a player checking masterpoints, or a club committee member accessing policies and toolkits.

A key point to note is that in future a log-in will be required to access the player-only section of the site (see "Signing In" below).

What’s Changing?

  • A new, modern website combining the outdated www.nzbridge.co.nz and the more user-friendly www.playbridge.co.nz into one site under: www.nzbridge.co.nz
  • A player-only section where you’ll find key resources like the club toolkit, tournament rules, director information, and learning materials. This change helps protect valuable content for our clubs and members.
  • A new payments system for Congress.
  • Updated guides, templates and club support resources to better serve our bridge community, which we will continue to add to.

Signing In

Once the site is live, all current members will receive an email to reset their password and activate their account.

    • Upon clicking the link, they will be directed to the Forgot Password screen, where they will need to enter their email address. They will then receive an email with a secure link to reset their password.
    • After resetting their password, members will be able to log in using their email and new password.
    • This will enable access to the player-only section (‘Players’ tab) on the new website once live.

What’s Next?

This update is Phase 1 of our website improvement plan. While some existing software (such as the masterpoints system) will remain for now, we’ll continue refining the site for a more seamless experience in the future.

One important part still being developed is the filtering / search function for Events and Tournaments, as well as having all of the event information in one place – we appreciate your patience as we finalise this.
